Our Instructors & Staff Members.

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Kickboxing and other Martial Arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this Martial Art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. here are a few of the Martial Art School's Instructors and other staff members, starting with Junior Anderson:

JUNIOR ANDERSON (6th Degree Black Belt)

Junior studied Lau Gar Kung Fu (1978-83) under the great Master Yau and sifu's Albert "Sticky Hands" Edwards and Vince "The Black Dragon" McCullam. Birmingham Lau A team fighters David Baptise, Derick Edwards and Cliff Brown were his fighting coaches .Junior won the Irish intermediate WAKO championships and was part of the Birmingham Lau A team that won the Irish WAKO International between England and Ireland. Junior also studied Wad0-Ryu Karate (1979-81) under World Karate Champion Eugene Coddington. Junior joined World All Style Contact Organization then later the English Contact Association and was trained by World Full Contact Karate Champion Howard "The Hawk" Brown, then later by World Full Contact Karate Champion Dev Barret. Junior achieved his 6th degree black and has 500 trophies which include.....

Inter clubs, Area, English, British,National, International, European and world titles. Junior has also competed against Raphael of the "Ninja Turtles" and the "White Power Ranger" in musical forms and weapons. Junior has trained 7 world champion fighters and has done some work for the BBC. Junior and Cecil Rose were the founder members of ISKA Uk. Junior works with children with dyslexia, ADHD and ASPERGERS. He has trained many door supervisors in the art of self defense, street tactics and body positioning.

TYRONE POWER (4th Degree Black Belt)

Tyrone trained in the world All Styles Combat Organization back in 1979 with British Champion Edge Brown. He studied with the UKTA under Master Ray Dennis. Tyrone also trained in Chi Yueng during the 1980's. Tyrone then trained with Junior Anderson and Dev Barret. Entering the English Contact Karate Associations National Championships, The European Martial Arts Association English Championships and the North American Sport Karate and ISKA World Championships in Florida. Tyrone has numerous trophies and credentials to his name and has a caring and understanding approach to his teaching style. Tyrone has also taught students with ADHD and ASPERGERS.

Tyrone is also credited with training British, National and 7 times World Champion Chantelle Cameron 2 times World Champion Tyrone Power Jnr, World Champion Nathan Reeve & European Champion Mikey French.It definitely shows that Tyrone's students have a great deal of respect for him with the effort they put into training to be awarded with such great title's.

TYRONE POWER JNR (2nd Degree Black Belt)

Tyrone has been training in martial arts for 10 years since the age of 4. He has competed Nationally in semi-contact, light-contact and weapons.He has also held numerous English, National and 2 world titles. Also part of the Iska team England where he has represented his country at both World & European Events.

MIKEY FRENCH (2nd Deegree Black Belt)

Mikey has been training in ju jitsu both traditional and brazilian for almost 10 years. He has been taught by Kyoshi Tony Gosiewski (7th Degree) & Soke Richard Morris (10th Degree). Mikey graded back in 2007 for his Black Belt in Sweden at the Honbu Dojo (House Of Samurai). The Grading was taken by Soke Morris (UK) & Soke Jan Erik Karllson (SWEDEN). Since then Mikey has been training in kickboxing/Forms at the Martial Arts School & Is part of Iska team England for both MMA & Extreme forms/Trix team. And is now a part of Team Resurrection Display Team performing at many events.

DIONNE DANIEL (1st Degree Black Belt)

Dionne has been training at the school since 2000, gaining her black belt in 2006. she has represented the club at national level, and was a member of the ISKA team that competed in the US OPEN 2001.

NATHAN REEVE (MMA/BOXING COACH)

Nathan has been training under Tyrone Power, Junior Andersson & John Daly for a little over 10 years in both Kickboxing and Boxing. Nathan is apart of Iska Team England and has represented his country at World Level winning the 2008 Iska World Championships. He placed 1st in the 56kgs light continuous and won 2nd place in the Full Contact. Over the 10 years he has won National & British titles in Semi - Contact & Light Contact. Whilst Boxing with John Daly he has achieved many awards such as 2x Midlands Champion, National semi finalist, also he has International Boxing experience he is definitely a great asset to The Martial Arts School.

JOHN WEEVAL (Black Belt Aikido)

Mr John Weeval teaches at the Martial Arts School on a Monday and Thursday evening for all those who would like to study in the art of Aikido with many years experiance in this style he is definatly a great asset to have with us.
